Associate NUrse Unit Manager - Emergency Department
About the Role
The Eye an Ear Emergency Department is currently seeking a Part Time Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work 4 days a week. 8 hrs (am/pm) or 10 hrs (night duty) rotating shifts.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Nurse Unit manager (ED ANUM) for our Emergency Department specializing in Eye and Ear, Nose and Throat care. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations in the department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and support the nursing staff in the Emergency Department
- Oversee patient care activities and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety.
- Manage department budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing registration (APHRA)
- Previous experience in emergency nursing, with a focus on eye and ear care preferred.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety
