As Australia’s only specialist eye, ear, nose and throat hospital, the Eye and Ear has been providing care for the senses for over 160 years. The Eye and Ear has almost 90 different outpatient clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24-hour emergency eye and ear, nose and throat service. Every year the Eye and Ear cares for nearly 200,000 patients, with over 136,000 outpatients, over 42,000 emergency patients and over 14,000 inpatients. The hospital recently completed a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure and to improve access for patients, visitors and staff.

About Role
The Surgical Services Department at The Eye & Ear Hospital is seeking a dynamic people to become part of a Casual Clerical Pool. The successful applicants will be committed to the delivery of good custome service to support a positive patient and carer experience.
The department essentially operates Monday to Friday with clerical staff rostered to 4 to 8 hour shifts with start times of either 8am, 10.30am or 4.30pm. Clerical staff work across all departemnts in the Surgical Services area. Periodic overtime is sometimes required.
Clerical staff work both independently and as part of a team to maximise the surgical experience for patients and carers.
Good communication, a commitment to front of house service and reliable data entry are integral to this role.
