About the Role
The Diagnostic Audiology and Balance Service is a multi-disciplinary service for patients requiring assessment and management for hearing and balance disorders. The Grade 2 audiologist works as a part of the service’s multi-disciplinary team of neurologists, audiologists, speech pathologist and physiotherapist and administration staff.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Diagnostic Audiology Team at the Eye & Ear Hospital in a part time (0.9FTE), fixed term role.
The team provide adult diagnostic testing to support the ENT and Emergency department along with comprehensive vestibular testing for pre-operative Cochlear Implant patients and patients in our Balance Disorders Unit & external referrers.
There is also opportunity to be involved in activity supporting the Paediatric ENT service with diagnostic testing for children age > 12 months old.
Experience in paediatric testing (VRA & Play Audiometry) & Comprehensive Vestibular testing is desirable however a comprehensive onboarding process is available for those with a high level of interest and motivation, but limited experience.
About you
- Master’s degree in clinical Audiology or equivalent
- Membership of the Audiological Society of Australia (ASA) with certificate of clinical practice
- Clinical experience in diagnostic audiology, and experience working with hearing impaired adults and children.
- Use an evidence-based approach to clinical practice.
- Management of a clinical caseload.
