The Eye and Ear has over 100 different specialist clinics for the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of vision and hearing loss and provides a 24 hour emergency eye and ear, nose, and throat service. The Eye and Ear provides care annually for around 250,000 patients, with over 200,000 outpatients, nearly 40,000 emergency patients and over 14,000 inpatients. The hospital has recently undergone a major redevelopment to create a modern internal structure and to improve access for patients, visitors and staff.

About the Role
Clinical Pharmacist, Grade 2
Full time ongoing position (40 hours/week with RDO every 4 weeks) and tax effective salary packaging, East Melbourne location, short walk to the CBD
We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to contribute to our pharmacy team's quality and efficiency in a specialist public hospital. This role offers the chance to develop clinical, organisational, and interpersonal skills in a newly redeveloped state-of-the-art department.
This position is a rotational role with key responsibilities which include providing clinical pharmacy services, specialised medicines to patients across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, and supporting weekend and on-call rosters for patient care. This new role complements our existing team of 30 staff. The Pharmacy team received the CEO's Team Excellence Award in 2024.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no restrictions
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience in an Australian setting
- Proven clinical pharmacy practice skills
- Ability to respond to medicines enquiries
- Interest in developing skills in ophthalmology and ENT
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
