About the Role

Join the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital as an EGMON Optometrist, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based eye care within our Glaucoma Monitoring Clinic. In this role, you’ll perform patient assessments, support ophthalmology-led care, educate patients, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll contribute to clinical improvement, mentoring, and research while upholding our values of Integrity, Care, Excellence and Innovation. This is an opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a leading specialist eye health service.

 

About you

  • Bachelor of Optometry Degree, or equivalent.
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
  • Knowledge of recent clinical practices in orthoptics, and experience in working with vision impaired adults and children.
  • Participation in clinical teaching
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient outcomes
