About the Role

 

Medicines Evaluation & Inventory Systems Pharmacist, Grade 3

Full time ongoing position (40 hours/week with rostered day off) and tax effective salary packaging East Melbourne location, short walk to the CBD

 

The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital has a ongoing full time position available in our friendly pharmacy team for a Grade 3 Medicines Evaluation and Inventory Systems Pharmacist to support safe, rational and cost-effective use of inventory systems, medicines and medicinal products at Eye and Ear. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and management skills in procurement and medication evaluation portfolio. 

 

This position reports to the Deputy Director of Pharmacy and is responsible for supporting and administering medicines procurement and inventory management systems. This position also has an operational component contributing to the clinical roster two days per week to  support effective and safe pharmacy services and facilitate the clinical skills to support medicines evaluation in a specialist hospital.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Australian hospital pharmacy
  • Highly developed communication skills to work with key stakeholders
  • Well developed data analytical and medicines evaluation skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Commitment to quality use of medicines
  • Prior experience with Merlin® and Omnicell® automated dispensing cabinets would be advantageous though not essential
