About the Role

As a key member of the Patient Services & Access team, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey, from referral through to appointment attendance. You will provide high-quality administrative support while ensuring patients, carers and referrers receive timely, accurate and professional assistance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage referral processing and patient waitlisting in line with Department of Health requirements.
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with Specialist Clinics Access Policy guidelines.
  • Respond to enquiries from patients, carers, referrers and healthcare professionals.
  • Provide frontline reception and administrative support across outpatient clinic areas.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and data entry standards.
  • Assist patients attending the hospital and provide clear, timely information.
  • Escalate patient concerns and operational issues as required.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient service delivery.
