Social Worker
About Role
The Eye and Ear hospital is a specialist hospital seeking a part time Grade 1 Social Worker at 0.6 FTE (3 days a week).
This position is a great opportunity for a new social work graduate who would like to work in a clinical social work setting within the public health sector, or for a social worker with community or public sector experience wanting a career change into the public health sector.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, exhibits ethical and professional responsibility and undertake timely evidenced based clinical assessment and interventions using a person-centred approach.
The role will work across outpatient, emergency and inpatient settings, participating in relevant clinical meetings and engaging with other allied health, nursing, medical and community professionals in discharge planning and addressing complex needs experienced by patients.
About you
- An AASW accredited bachelor’s degree or master’s (Qualifying) in Social Work
- Social work (or fieldwork) placements) experience in public health/hospital settings/community sector.
