About the Role

 

The Perioperative Stores Person is a key operational role at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, responsible for ensuring the efficient management of perioperative consumables and equipment. The operating theatre department has 8 theatres plus a treatment room and this role would be to also assit sterilisation services. 

 

Some of the key responsibilities in this role include:

 

  • Work within an ethically and legally sound framework. Ensure responsibilities are undertaken in accordance with the Eye and Ear policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and applicable legislation.
  • Information Technology (IT) skills that are commensurate with the requirements of the role.
  • Inventory management, ordering and deliveries
  • Store room/Stock location maintained
  • Quality Improvement
  • Clerical Data Entry and Administrative duties

 

About you

 

Previous experience in stock management/ordering and the abililty to use IT systems in relation to ordering and maintaining stock. You will have an excellent attention to detail and well developed communication and customer service skills and the ability to work collaborativey with peers as part of a team.
